Pamela Christine Knowles -My only daughter died Feb 22nd 2008 age 45.
Pamela known as Pam worked for Help the Aged as a voluntary worker in Farnworth where she lived with her beloved husband Jay & 3 of her 5 children.
Pam was diagnosed in January this year with Renal Carcinoma /Metastatic disease-5 weeks later we lost her.The shock to all of us has been immense to say the least. We buried Pamela at Farnworth Cemetery on March 5th 2008.
Pamela was born in October 1962 @ Hope Hospital Salford to proud parents Betty & Derek Morris. She was a lovely little girl & as she grew up proved to be clever as well. When her brother Peter Carl was born in 1965 she was thrilled to bits & was a big help as she took the role on of little mother.Pamela was always very popular at school starting @ Hilton Lane Primary & then moving to St Johns Cof E Junior School @ Walkden when the family moved. We were so proud of her when she became head girl there. When she was twelve she went to Wardley School where she did very well.Pamela gave birth to her eldest son Simon in 1979 followed by Robert,Thomas,David & Alana. She was a very good mother to them all but very firm with them.Pamela was married first to David Greenhalgh & then she met Jay Knowles in 1993 & married him in 1996.Pamela was a girl who loved her family but she was a party girl as well. She was so happy to be amongst her many friends but on most of the nights she went out with them you would find her eldest sons there also. They were also there with her on the day she died.Pamela was a very thoughtful girl & never forgot anyone's birthday. If anyone wanted to know someone's birthday people would say "Pam will tell you".In fact when she was at her poorliest I remember her giving me a card for John(her step-father) as it was his birthday the day after.very touching to think that at her worse time she was still thinking of others. As testament to her the shop where she worked for Help the Aged closed for two hours whilst the staff attended the funeral. It was amazing the amount of people who were there -people we have never met before were coming up & giving their condolences,& the church was full.Pamela was a much loved girl & her family (all of us) will keep her in our hearts forever. We love you Pam our own Angel.Till we meet again sweetheart - Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You would have been very proud of Robert & Melissa.
It was a lovely day & everything went so well, how else could it be when you were watching over them.No problems all ever so lovely & Alana was beautiful although very emotional.
Just incase I don't get chance on the day........
If there's one thing we could wish for on this our wedding day,
it would be to have you here if only for today.
To guide us through our wedding,
stand next to us by the aisle,
to put our hands together and kiss us with a smile.
So here's a little symbol of our love for you today,

My girl
I now have the courage to work on your photo album because I feel you by my side helping me.Many tears are shed as I carry on, mainly tears inside, but I will do it.
Today is the 3rd anniversary feelings are very raw & tender a reminder of that day when you were taken from us.We are told it will get easier as time goes on but I don't feel that at all.Everyday my thoughts are with you as you will know when I have my little chats with you when I am in a quiet place.Nobody knows the loneliness of losing a child, only those who have. One day we will be back together but in the meantime the memories will have to do.Love you always & forever.
Mum xx Love from John xx
Mother of the Groom
I knew the day I met him,
that he would be 'The One'.
He stole my heart and made it his,
that person is your Son.
You raised him to be gentle,
yet strong and loyal too.
I am about to become his wife,
and I wanted to thank you.
For all you've done throughout the years,
to make him who he's become.
He means the world and more to me,
thank you for sharing your Son.

Your daughter.
Dear mum.
Its your birthday tomorrow, and I know you'll be having a drink up there! But I'll wake up tomorrow knowing that your always going to be my mum no matter what happens.
I'm taking my GCSE's this year. It will be so hard without you, but I know I will pull through. I'm going to make you really proud, and I get all the GCSE's you wanted me to get.
I really miss you you know, and whenever I have an argument with Tom, my boyfriend. I always want you. No matter what your always the first one I'm going to turn to.
Your my mum, your my bestfriend and your my idol.
We're singing half the world away in music, and reminds me of you.
I will come and visit you sunday.
My love always.
Alana holly.
